TEO – CVSNI – The Needs and Experiences of Conflict/troubles bereaved families – Peaceplus funded

This research project will deliver on a number of the Commission for Victims and Survivors statutory duties and the powers that exist for the Commission to undertake research of this nature. ‘Keeping under review the adequacy and effectiveness of services provided for victims and survivors by bodies or persons’, and ‘issuing guidance on best practice in relation to matters concerning the interests of victims and survivors’ are key rationale for undertaking this particular research project. The research project also explicitly links with The Executive Office Strategy for Victims and Survivors of the Troubles/Conflict 2024-2034 overarching principles, specifically being: • Victim Centred • Trauma Informed • Evidence based • Reflective of diverse needs • Responsive to changing needs, and • Empowering
