Provision of a Contractor to Deliver the Crematorium Facility at Newtownabbey

The project consists of the construction of a new crematorium facility of single storey construction, containing a single chapel, offices,staff areas and associated civil/ landscaping works including a memorial garden and pond, car parking and a double right hand turn lane for access from the Doagh Road (to the new crematorium and to Ballyearl Arts and Leisure Centre).

Due to the increased prices resulting from Covid-19, the Council has modified the contract in accordance with the relevant NEC3 arrangements. This has resulted in a 14% increase in the price of the contract. The modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract.
