Procurement of 2-3 trained young dogs for patrol dogs – Police

The police need to procure two trained young dogs for patrol dogs.

The test of dogs will be carried out at Kongsvinger Police University College during week 18/2026.

The dog must be ready for delivery by the end of May 2026.

OPTION: The contracting authority could procure a further trained patrol dog in this competition. The deadline for triggering the option is 31 May 2026.

Patrol dogs have education in search of people in different environments and search for objects it smells of people of. Furthermore, the patrol dogs are approved as a means of power and can be used in the apprehension of persons in different types of environments. There are some dogs with additional competence in the form of drug searches, weapons searches, lavine searches (winter education), USAR and criminal searches within the patrol dog category.
The patrol dogs shall be socially stable, have good prey and must be environmentally strong.

The current breeds are mainly based on Schæfer and Malinois, as well as blends of them.

The final approval and sufficient financing are subject to signing of the contract before the contract is signed.
