Intention notice – replacement of laboratory automation hospital in Vestfold HF

Sykehusinnkjøp, on behalf of Vestfold Hospital, informs about the intention to enter into a contract with Roche Diagnostics Norway AS for the replacement of laboratory automation to the Central Laboratory at Vestfold Hospital. Surveys have been carried out in connection with the procurement in order to map what the market can offer. A market dialogue was held in January 2026.The market dialogue shows that only Roche can deliver a fully integrated system that is compatible with the PTL robot. If the cobas 8100 system is removed, the PTL robot will immediately lose the necessary data communication it needs to function and will remain inactive. The PTL robot cannot, therefore, be used independently of the cobas 8100 system. Roche Diagnostics Norway AS and Roche's global organisation has the exclusive sales and marketing rights for Graniten Engineering AB's PTL in Norway and other countries where they are represented. PTL is an integrated part of the cobas 8100 automation system. See the attached document for further justification and conclusion. The contract will be signed without a prior tender notice. Pursuant to procurements without a competition is the Public Procurement Regulations § 13-4 first section, letter b second point. An intention notice will be published in accordance with the provision in § 21-5. Objections to the intention of signing the contract with Roche Diagnostics Norway AS shall be directed to Sykehusinnkjøp, by project manager Alf Løvik by a fixed date.
