Insurance Underwriting Services for the Intervarsity Insurance Management Group – Market Notification

Dublin City University is publishing this Preliminary Market Notification on a voluntary basis on behalf of the Intervarsity Insurance Management Group (IIMG), which is comprised of members from: University of Galway, University College Cork, Maynooth University, Dublin City University, University of Limerick and Trinity College Dublin. The universities have come together to purchase four lines of insurance on a joint basis. The lines of insurance are as follows: Property Damage/Business Interruption; Employers & Public/Products Liability; Professional Indemnity and Motor Fleet. This is not a call for competition: this notice is being published on a voluntary basis to notify the market that the IIMG’s insurance broker, Marsh Ireland, will be managing the purchase of the above lines of insurance over the coming months on the IIMG’s behalf. Marsh Ireland were appointed as the IIMG’s provider of insurance brokerage and placement services following a mini-competition under an Office of Government Procurement framework agreement. Any legally constituted, suitable qualified and established insurance provider who is interested in providing one or more of the above-mentioned lines of insurance should contact Marsh Ireland no later than 16 March 2026 in order to receive a market submission which will contain detailed information about the universities insurance requirements. It is anticipated that quotations from insurance providers will be required to be submitted to Marsh Ireland before the end of June.
