The requested instrument is a next-generation Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) system (Octet R8e, 2025) to enable sensitive, label-free measurement of biomolecular interactions, which will be used to measure interactions with de novo cyclic peptides (dnCPs). The instrument will be fully integrated into the dnCP discovery pipeline to support high-throughput screening, quantitative affinity determination, and functional characterization of peptide candidates. It will allow rapid identification of high-affinity binders, discovery of rare “molecular glue” peptides that mediate protein–protein interactions, and evaluation of peptide stability under biologically relevant conditions. In addition to advancing dnCP-based drug discovery, the system will serve as a shared resource, supporting broader research and training activities in drug design and biomedicine.
