Design Study for the AWAKE Plasma Cell Merging Region

Engineering design services for the AWAKE Run-2c vapour source and plasma cell system at CERN. The objective is the completion and consolidation of the system architecture with particular focus on the new central injection region separating the self-modulation and acceleration stages.
The scope includes detailed mechanical design, 3D CAD modelling, vacuum and beamline interface definition, development of beam diagnostics and laser dump concepts, thermal and system simulations, and preparation for transition to detailed design and fabrication. The contractor shall deliver consolidated system models, integration layouts, updated design specifications, simulation reports, and an implementation strategy compatible with CERN infrastructure and safety requirements.
The contract concerns design and integration planning only; fabrication and installation are not part of this phase.
