Delivery of electricity and accompanying portfolio management

Haugesund municipality has, on behalf of itself and other municipalities and companies in Nord-Rogaland, entered into an agreement for the delivery of electricity and the accompanying portfolio management with one supplier, Haugaland Kraft Energi AS. The contract will be valid for 4 years from when the contract is signed. The contracting authority has an option to extend the contract for a further up to 2+2 years (a total of maximum 8 years). As of 11 May 2025, it is estimated that the Contracting Authority needs approx. 172 GWh per annum. The estimated need is based on the contracting authority ́s best judgement based on available historical figures and estimates based on experience with and expertise in the market. Emphasis is put on the fact that the extent is dependent on the contracting authority ́s concrete needs in the contract period.
