Assistance with product orientation in the Norwegian Environment Agency.

The Norwegian Environment Agency has a broad assignment portfolio and responsibility to follow up the government's policy on climate and nature. The work is characterised by complex problems, which require good digital solutions and work forms that support exploration and learning. We have, therefore, been working on IT product development in multi-disciplinary teams for several years and would like to work more structured with product orientation.

Last year we started work to strengthen competence and culture related to product orientation in the organisation. The work has so far consisted of mapping the need and development of a competence raising concept with measures that hit the entire organisation and specific roles connected to our product teams.

Parallel, we explore what is best practice for us and how we can increase value creation. This includes establishing an enabling team to assist the teams and the rest of the organisation, as well as contributing to a joint management rhythm for better performance management, cross-team collaboration and better resource distribution.
