Consultation on the Hosting and Supervision of LIS1 Doctors

Stavanger Municipality will conduct a tender procedure for the hosting and supervision of LIS1 doctors. The tender is intended to be published by the end of the second quarter of 2027. Agreements will be entered into with a total of six general practitioner (GP) practices in Stavanger Municipality for the provision of six LIS1 placements per year. The contract duration will be six years, including extensions.
LIS1 is the first stage of specialist training for doctors. There are prescribed learning objectives that must be met for the training to be approved.
We have reviewed the award criteria and requirements specification used by the Municipality in the previous tender procedure, which resulted in the current agreement. The Municipality invites your feedback on the previous award criteria and requirements specification set out in this document and in the tender rules.
Your feedback will be taken into account when preparing the new tender documents. This includes which considerations should be prioritised when hosting and supervising LIS1 doctors, which requirements are necessary to meet the learning objectives—including requirements for the GP practices themselves—and which award criteria should be decisive when evaluating the tenders.
