Supply of the Electron Cyclotron Upper Launchers and Ex-Vessel Waveguides of ITER

This procurement procedure is for the award of a framework contract (FWC) for the design finalisation and supply of the Electron Cyclotron (EC) Upper Launchers and ex-vessel waveguides of ITER.
The Electron Cyclotron Upper Launchers and ex-vessel waveguides comprise the four EC upper launcher plug systems including the structures and shields, mirrors, waveguides, feedthroughs and services of ports UL12, UL13, UL15 and UL16 and the ex-vessel waveguide assembly including mm-wave transmission elements, windows and valves, supporting structures and services of the same four upper launchers plus the ex-vessel waveguides assembly of the equatorial launcher of the port EW14. The electron cyclotron upper launchers and ex-vessel waveguides of port UL16 are first plasma components.
The scope of the FWC will be implemented through the award of specific contracts under the FWC for the manufacturing design, raw material procurement, manufacture, assembly, testing and delivery of the port plug structure, the blanket shield module, mirrors 1 and 2 and ancillaries and the final and manufacturing design, raw material procurement, manufacturing, testing and delivery of the mirrors 3 and 4, in-vessel waveguides and closure plate subplate of the port plug system and the ex-vessel waveguides system.

The Framework Ceiling Value has been increased. Due to the unprecedented inflationary situation in 2022 resulting from the international situation, F4E could not have diligently forecasted such price increase linked to the implementation of the indexation clause at the time of the contract signature nor predicted its overall long-term impact (Ref: # 275217).
