The competition is for inspection and report services for the executor in connection with the assembly of the steel box for Nye Sotrabru. The inspection services include ongoing reporting and follow-up of the contractor's progress, and inspections for the contracting authority, i.e.:
- Welding
- Welding control
- Geometry control
- Surface treatment
- Material control

The procurement also concerns assistance for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration with a review and evaluation of:
- Assembly procedures
- Welding procedures
- Inspection procedures
- Work instructions
- Deviation messages
