PEACEPLUS Battle of the Boyne Site Historical Design Programme

A cross-border history and peace-building programme using the Battle of the Boyne site as a focal point. 80 participants will contribute to the animation of the newly erected signage, providing drone footage of the site and an audio tour to be available via QR code on the signage. This will be undertaken on a cross-community basis with young people and will build both historical and technological skills among participants. It will also lead to new participants coming to the site and learning more about it through the interpretation boards thus opening the site up to new users.
The project will also aim to build on the wider Williamite Trails. It will also align with the wider OPW works at Oldbridge House. To include one cross border trip.
Will build IT skills and historical knowledge.

This project will contribute to the wider animation of the Battle of the Boyne site in conjunction with the Louth PEACEPLUS improved accessibility and Interpretive Signage project being undertaken at the Battle of the Boyne site.
