Support to inclusive and sustainable Security Sector Governance, Security Sector Reform and Disarmament Demobilisation and Reintegration.

The contract will provide expertise in the domains of Security Sector Governance (SSG) Security Sector Reform (SSR) and Disarmament Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) to complement EU engagement in this broader domain, in support of implementation of the EU Joint Communication regarding ‘Elements for an EU-wide strategic framework to support security sector reform’. The purpose of the contract is to contribute to improvement of governance of the security sector as well as SSR and DDR processes. It will also support better inspection and internal and external oversight and inspection to promote greater accountability, counter impunity and contribute to sustainable transitions. This will primarily be achieved through provision of technical expertise. Various activities are foreseen, including deployment of relevant experts to undertake research, analysis and advisory activities, provision of training and capacity building activities to national authorities and regional/international organisations, information sessions for EU entities, etc.
