Conservation-Grade Display System for “Historjá” by Britta Marakatt-Labba – Market Dialogue

UiT The Arctic University of Norway, in collaboration with KORO (Public Art Norway) and INCUBE Architecture, invites relevant and experienced suppliers to participate in an early-stage market dialogue for the Historjá project.

The assignment concerns the development of a conservation-grade display system for “Historjá”, a 24-meter embroidered textile artwork by Britta Marakatt-Labba, one of the most significant contemporary Sámi artists. The artwork holds substantial cultural and historical value.

The solution is expected to meet stringent requirements related to preventive conservation, including inert environment, airtight construction, controlled lighting, material integrity, and long-term durability.

The purpose of the market dialogue is to engage with experienced suppliers to explore technical solutions, feasibility, and procurement strategy ahead of a forthcoming tender process.
