25/061-Packaged Boiler Units QS

The scope of work may involve the design, supply, assembly, testing, delivery and associated services for Packaged Boiler Units (PBU) across the Gas Networks Ireland transmission network. PBUs are typically deployed to provide low temperature hot water heating to support gas temperature control at transmission‑level installations.
Typical PBU configurations may include the following elements:
• Natural‑gas‑fired boilers and associated burner systems
• LPHW circulation systems, pumps, expansion and pressurisation equipment
• Control systems including PLC/HMI, instrumentation and alarm interfaces
• Condensate management systems and internal gas distribution pipework
• Electrical panels, power supplies and associated ancillary equipment
• A gas fired generator capable of providing backup power for the site
• Renewable technology such as Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Micro Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and other emerging technologies.
Where required, PBUs may be provided either for integration into existing AGI buildings or as complete packaged units supplied with a dedicated boiler house structure.
GNI may, where required, engage suppliers to provide maintenance services post commissioning.
