Dual Platform for Glucose & Ketone Testing Equipment and Associated Consumables

HSE Procurement intends to purchase a dual platform testing for Glucose & Ketone Equipment and Associated Consumable Nationally from Fannin Ltd. The clinical requirement for this equipment is for a dual platform. The combined meter is capable of measuring both glucose and ketone levels to enable rapid and accurate assessment of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and other metabolic disorders. This is particularly important in emergency, critical care, and paediatric settings, where rapid assessment is crucial. Monitoring both glucose and ketones on one device minimises errors due to using separate meters.
Consequently, in accordance with Article 32(2)(b)(ii) of Directive 2014/24/EU, competition is absent for technical reasons and the award of this contract to Fannin Ltd without a competitive process is permitted by the procurement regulations. HSE Procurement undertake that no contract shall be awarded to Fannin Ltd for the supply of these items until a period of fourteen days has elapsed, commencing on the day after the date of publication of this notice at European level.
