The Directorate of Public Construction and Property is entering into a project for a new government block contract for architect services G block (ARK). The renovation of the G-block is a sub-project in construction stage 2 in the Project New Government Block. The Contracting Ministry is the Ministry of Digitization and Management (DFD) and uses the Ministry of Finance.The old government building, currently called the G-block, was completed in 1906 and is the oldest building in the government quarter. The building is in Art Nouveau style and designed by architect Henrik Bull. The building emerged as very modern with waterklots, electrical lifts, central heating installations and aeration installations. The building is currently used by the Ministry of Finance and offices for political management and administration. The total area is approx. 17,400 m2 GFA. The functional areas in the building mainly comprise meeting rooms and workplace areas. The building shall be treated as listed. The assignment includes architect services in all the remaining phases of the execution of the sub-project G block in the Project New Government Block. The chosen tenderer will have the role of responsible engineering architect (PRO ARK) in accordance with the requirements in SAK 10 §12.3.
