REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – BYOD Digital classroom exams and exercises system

This is Request for information for BYOD Digital classroom exams and exercises system. With this RFI Aalto University is seeking information on suppliers interested in delivering the services described.

Aalto University is seeking a tool for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) type digital classroom exams or exercises that take place in the same room.

Current BYOD exam volumes are approximately 100 to 800 users per exam, 4 exams per quarter.

REQUIREMENT

The system must be able to restrict the access to the user’s computer to predefined resources such as web pages, attachments, files and software (such as Microsoft Excel) required during the task. It should be possible to provide the software required for the task either virtually, or locally on the computer itself.

The system should be able to return files or attachments created or modified during the execution of the task or exam to pre-defined online platforms , and it should allow returning to restricted external environments.

The system must be able to integrate with, at least, Moodle learning environment, and must work at least on Windows and Mac environments. Linux compatibility is desirable.

It is desirable that the data generated when using the service is within the EU. The data collected must be protected, at least, in accordance with EU regulations.

- General presentation of your system (including description of information security)
- General API description
- Technical API description
- License model for the system
- What certificates do you have (E.g., Compliance certificates for handling private information)?

NEXT STEPS

Upon receiving the participation email, Aalto University will contact the interested participants. Aalto University reserves the right to invite suppliers for further discussions regarding this RFI to obtain information to necessary extent on market and suppliers providing relevant services, give out information regarding the needs of Aalto University and to clarify any issues related to the object of the procurement.
